For trend-product shops and dropshipping

Product reselling on cash on delivery: fewer refusals, more parcels picked up

In the trend-product business refusals are part of the game: a buyer orders from an ad on impulse and changes their mind three days later. Rampo counts how many hryvnias you lose on unclaimed parcels and helps win some of them back while the parcel is still at the Nova Poshta branch.

  • Pickup rate and losses in UAH within 1 business day
  • Reminders on day 2 of storage and the day before paid storage
  • Refusal analytics by product and ad source — soon

168 refusals/mo

example: 1,200 COD parcels, 86% pickup rate — an accessories and small-electronics reseller

Why resellers see more refusals than regular shops

Trend-product shops live on impulse purchases. Someone sees a social-media ad, leaves an order in 30 seconds and chooses cash on delivery because it feels risk-free. While the parcel travels, the impulse fades and a different ad is already in the feed. The result is a parcel at the branch that nobody hurries to collect.

Typical losses:

  • outbound shipping is paid, with no money for the goods;
  • packaging and staff time are wasted;
  • stock is frozen while it travels back — and a trend may be over within a week;
  • the ad that brought this buyer never paid off.

Nova Poshta stores a parcel free for 5 days (not counting the delivery day); after that storage is paid. If the buyer refuses, the parcel is returned to the sender automatically. Who pays for the return and how much depends on your contract and Nova Poshta's rates — check your account.

Pickup rate: count hryvnias, not feelings

Most reseller owners know their pickup rate as "around 80–85%". But between 80% and 86% on a thousand parcels lie dozens of refusals and thousands of hryvnias every month. So the first step is an exact number.

Example calculation

Metric Value
COD parcels per month 1,200
Pickup rate 86%
Refusals per month 168
Shipping + packaging per refusal 80 + 20 UAH
Shipping losses at least 16,800 UAH/mo
If returns are paid up to 30,240 UAH/mo
Margin not earned (850 UAH order, 30% margin) 42,840 UAH/mo

This is an example, not your numbers. You get yours from the free pickup-rate audit: an export from your Nova Poshta business account, just 4 columns, no names or phones.

What Rampo does for product resellers

  • Call list

Twice a day — 09:00 and 15:00 Kyiv time — COD parcels waiting at a branch or locker, oldest first.

  • One-tap Viber

Your manager messages the buyer from their own Viber right from the list and marks: reached / no answer / promised to pick up.

  • Automatic reminders

Auto plan: Viber with SMS fallback on day 2 of storage and 1 day before paid storage — only to those who have not picked up.

  • Control group

We deliberately do not remind some buyers. That shows how many parcels were picked up because of the reminders.

    Learn more
  • Refusal analytics (soon)

Refusals by product, region and ad source via UTM tags from KeyCRM, SalesDrive or Horoshop.

  • Pay for results

You can pay only for the extra parcels picked up — never more than the Auto plan.

Which products and ads bring refusers

In reselling, one weak creative or one "hot" item can produce a disproportionate share of refusals. We are building refusal analytics by product, region and ad source (UTM tags from your CRM). This feature is in development and marked "soon".

The goal is simple: see not just your overall pickup rate but where it drops — and switch off ads that bring orders but not money.

  • Pickup rate by product and category
  • Pickup rate by region
  • Pickup rate by ad source (UTM)

Dropshipping: what to keep in mind

If your supplier ships the parcels, the waybills are created in the supplier's Nova Poshta account. Rampo sees only shipments in the account the export came from or the API key belongs to. For the audit, ask your supplier to export your shipments with the 4 columns, or agree who connects the service.

We take an API key only after the offer and the personal-data processing agreement are signed, and it must be a separate key. Details on the data security page.

Rampo is in its pilot stage and invites the first resellers shipping 300+ COD parcels a month. The pilot is free: 21 days of shipments + 14 days for outcomes, report on day 35. A pickup-rate uplift is a hypothesis we test, not a promise.

Questions about reselling and refusals

What pickup rate is normal for a reseller?

There is no single norm: it depends on the niche, order value, ads and regions. So we do not compare you with a "market average" — we calculate your rate from your Nova Poshta export and show the losses in UAH.

Do reminders help if the buyer simply changed their mind?

Not always — some refusals cannot be saved. Reminders help those who forgot, ran out of time or did not know about paid storage. The control-group comparison shows how many such buyers you have.

We already send SMS from our CRM. Why add more?

We do not switch off your SMS — it continues for both groups. We measure the uplift on top of what you already do. If there is none, pay-for-results costs zero.

How much does it cost?

The pilot is free. Then List — 2 UAH per waybill, Auto — 4 UAH per waybill, 990 UAH monthly minimum; control-group parcels are not billed. See pricing.

Can you check a likely refuser before shipping?

That is the Pro plan with refuser checks and partial prepayment, planned for later. Available now: the audit and the call list, with automatic reminders coming next.

Will my data reach competitors?

No. The audit needs neither a key nor personal data. Parcel data is kept for 90 days, call lists for 2 days, and Telegram receives only numbers — no names, phones or waybill numbers.

How much do refusals cost your shop?

Send a 4-column export and within 1 business day we will show your pickup rate and monthly losses in UAH. Free, no API key.
